Welcome to McCabe Hub

The McCabe hub is nestled in the historic Mount Penang Parklands. Tend to the veggie gardens, roam the expansive farmland and explore the outdoor spaces while getting social and learning new things. This is where you have endless opportunities to explore with sailing, swimming, dance and movement and trips all over by ferry, bus and train. Wherever the journey takes you at the McCabe hub, you’re sure to make new friends along the way.

This after school program is all about bringing young people together to do the things they want & love. Meet new friends & expand social networks. Run every Tuesday & Thursday, participants choose from a range of activities that are skill-building, engaging & fun.

We’ve got a range of programs to grow your skills and get involved. Have fun learning and socialising with supportive daily activities like nature outings, swimming, crafts or cooking all as part of your NDIS-funded plan or as a fee-for-service.

Meet Julia Ayton

Julia started as a Community Support Worker with Sunnyfield 10 years ago, and from there she moved to Team Leader and then to her current role as Service Manager. Over the years, Julia has made it her priority to create a fun and lively space where people of all abilities are welcome. She is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and looks forward to growing an after-school program and Saturday social groups at the Hub. Julia’s door is always open and she never shies away from meeting new people, so pop in and say hi.
