A Lifelong Friendship at Sunnyfield

“It is a pleasure to be part of Helen’s journey and watch her independence grow, from catching the bus on her own to working in open employment.”

When Helen started with Sunnyfield Enterprises, she expected to find a new profession; what she got was a friend for life.

Helen first met Janet, a Sunnyfield support worker at the time, over 20 years ago. What began as support for Helen across employment and accommodation services has developed into a long-lasting bond.

Janet has supported Helen to accomplish many amazing goals during the past 20 years, including the most precious gift of all: independence.

What does the future hold for Helen? With her NDIS ‘My First Plan’ and with the support of Janet, Helen can now do more of what she loves and further develop skills for life.

When Helen’s not barracking for the Manly Sea Eagles, she is taking steps towards a weekly swimming program to improve her health and fitness.

With Janet by her side and her new found independence, Helen is experiencing a world of new opportunities.
