Lake Mac set to make a splash

Lake Macquarie City Council opens the door to all-abilities activities for Sunnyfield.

We want to share our appreciation for Peta, Anna, Joanna and Alex at Lake Macquarie City Council and their continued support for our Lake Macquarie Community Services hub. With their generosity, we’ve been able to access their ME2 programs which are free, inclusive activities accessible to all. Some of the programs the clients have enjoyed include croquet, yoga, land care, drama classes, belly dancing, Easter celebrations and having the exclusive opportunity to meet the Mayor and more!

 A supportive and inclusive community

Thanks to the Lake Macquarie City Council’s latest grant, received from Swimming Australia’s Community Swimming Grants Program, we’re lucky enough to work together with them on an all-abilities aqua fitness program, complete with modified aquatic equipment.

Sunnyfield Lake Macquarie clients are beyond excited about the aquatic program, having already created their own playlist for each of the lessons and giving it a Wild West theme. We’re so grateful to have been given this opportunity. Thanks for helping make our futures brighter!
