SNAP

SNAP is made up of activities with outcomes in Skills, Nutrition, Active abilities and Personal education. SNAP aspires to build life skills, understand healthy eating and how to prepare meals independently, and develop good personal hygiene and presentation. Run every Tuesday and Thursday, you’ll work through four activities with the aim to complete ‘SNAP’.
Tuesdays and Thursday 3pm to 7pm
Skills for Life:
- Numeracy
- Budgeting
- Road Safety
- Cyber Safety
- Restaurant Skills (setting a table, taking orders, cutlery placement)
Nutrition:
- Planning a menu
- Grocery shopping
- Preparing food for dinner
- Eating the meal you’ve cooked
- Cleaning up after a meal
Active Abilities:
- Dancing
- Zumba
- Outdoor / Indoor Sports
- 10-Pin Bowling
Personal Education:
- Personal Care, including handwashing, hair brushing, teeth brushing, and preparing yourself for eating out at a restaurant
- Knowing Myself
