The Adventure Tree is built around fostering all kinds of social, creative, and physical skills, for youth with disability. Filled with super cool activities like swimming, sports, gardening, arts and craft, seasonal cooking, and trips to the movies this is the place for after school fun and friends.

Park fun

Let’s take the basketballs to Rose Point park and shoot some hoops. We will go for a walk around the bike track and do the river walk. Hot dogs for dinner.

Gardening

We will google on the smart board what vegetables and herbs we can plant for winter growth. We will head up to Bunnings and see what we can find out and purchase and then the fun part begins with the planting. We will also do a roster on when the plants need to be watered and how we need to look after them so they’re well maintained for us to cook and eat. We’ll get KFC for dinner.

Cooking fun

Let’s have a talk and a do a bit of research on your favorite foods. We can make slices, cakes or biscuits and then learn some money skills by budgeting and purchasing our ingredients. Toasties for dinner.

Pool fun

Today we will head to the swim and do some fun activities in the heated pool. We will learn some aqua aerobics to keep us warm. We also learn how to keep safe in and around water. Home cooked pizza for dinner.

Board games challenge

Le’ts see who can win against our staff. We will have a variety of board games to choose from. We will also have a go at designing our very own board game. Chicken burgers for dinner.

Tie dye

Bring in a white shirt or pillow case or anything white that you may like to Tie Dye. You get to make your own tie dye design, this will be fun but also you’ll get messy. Sausage sizzle BBQ for dinner.

Historical Singleton walk

Today we will keep warm by doing the Singleton Historical walk. We will take our iPads and take some photos along the way. Let’s see what flowers grow in winter and what birds are around. Maccas for dinner.

An afternoon walk to one of our local cafes for a milk shake and then a look around our local shops. We will do some shopping for our dinner.

Let’s bring in your own device today. If you don’t have one all good, we have plenty. We will learn all things safe about the internet, play some games, do some money skills and budgeting. Chicken and chips for dinner.

We will show off our dance moves with a disco and some karaoke. If we are exhausted after all this, we will relax with a movie. Party food for dinner.
