On Monday night Tweed Shire Council hosted the 2018 Access and Inclusion Awards.
Sunnyfield’s Tweed Heads Community Services Hub and Service Manager Patricia Foulds were nominated by clients, families and guardians for their contribution towards building an accessible and inclusive Tweed community where everyone can participate and everyone belongs.
We missed out on winning the award, however the nominations are a great reflection of the dedication, passion and commitment of the Tweed Heads team and is an outstanding result for their first year of operation in Northern NSW.
We also had the pleasure of watching Kyle who accesses Sunnyfield’s After School Care program and Suzy who is a regular volunteer at the Hub win the Disability Advocacy Award. Both Kyle and Suzy are active members of the community, have been involved in fundraising initiatives and are positive voices for people with disability in Tweed Heads.
A great result and let’s see what 2019 brings!
